Sugar-free pear and almond biscuits
The pear conference is seasonal, consume this fruit at its best, in this post I will explain how to prepare some biscuits of pear and almond without sugar, it is very easy and the result is very good. You do not need sweeteners, it's a sweet snack perfect to accompany tea or coffee.
The biscuits are very succor, at breakfast, lunch or snack are usually always welcome, a good way to sweeten a sponge cake without using sugar and without sweeteners is adding fruit, you can prepare with any of them, there are biscuits banana, apple, mango, with figs, raisins, etc.
The season of the pear conference begins in autumn, consume this delicious fruit at its best.
The pear is a fruit that I like very much, the main reason is that it contains a lot of water, if it is at its point, it is biting it and feeling an explosion of juice in the mouth. There are many varieties, but now is the time for the conference pear, this variety is juicy, sweet and has a texture a little grainy, you will be able to enjoy it throughout the winter, the season starts in autumn, and is characterized by very resistant well the low temperatures, in addition the fruit is not as delicate as other varieties of the same species.
I have prepared some very tasty biscuits with conference pears, almond butter and a bit of almond flour, it is very easy, it is about following the same system that I follow in most of my biscuits, fruit + nuts + eggs, with this scheme we can make endless combinations that will result in delicious bases for cake, muffins or biscuits.
Being prepared with nuts flour, in this case almond flour and almond butter, are very satisfying and with a small portion will be more than enough to satisfy your cravings to take something sweet, either between meals, as a dessert or to accompany your favorite hot drink.
If you consume each fruit in its season you will be able to fully enjoy its properties, both nutritional and organoleptic.
The pear is one of my favorite fruits in winter, as I said before, the reason is that I love its juiciness, to enjoy it make sure it is at its point of maturity, because the truth is that if you eat green you will give The feeling that you are biting a piece of wood will be dry and tasteless.
On the contrary, if you consume it at its point is juicy and sweet, perhaps this feature is a double-edged sword, especially for diabetics, the pear is rich in sugars, in the form of fructose or levulose, this means that it is a source of fast energy, it is advisable to consume it before carrying out a physical activity or as a snack between meals, I never consume it before going to sleep or after a main meal. But I think it's a good option mid-morning or before training.
A solution to slow down the absorption of your sugars is to take it with the skin, thus providing more fiber.
Add the pear to your recipes, the salads with pear and nuts are delicious.
In addition to consuming the pear in an isolated way, I also like to add it to some of my recipes, these pear bizcochitos are a good example and this pear and roquefort salad other. With the pear, the compote is usually prepared and the recipe for pears in wine as a dessert is very popular.

Maria Teresa Montoya

Good morning María Teresa, in the recipe I give you the amounts of almond flour, (finely ground almonds), and almond butter, it does not contain wheat flour or other cereals. The amount that I put is a "tablespoon", which refers to the classic Anglo-Saxon pastry measures, if you do not have them, you can put a tablespoon and it will come out the same. If you want to make more quantity you just have to double the quantities of all the ingredients.
And as I explain in the notes of the recipe, you can substitute almond butter for almond flour, in case you do not have that ingredient. I hope I have clarified the doubt, if not, ask me what you want, I will be happy to help you. A greeting! 😉
Alice
Hello, what could I replace the almond butter with? Coconut oil??
missblasco
Hello Alicia, in this recipe almond butter is an important ingredient in the dough. If you don't want to use it, replace it with more ground almonds or grated coconut (it has a lot of texture and will be noticeable in the final result) or coconut flour ( It is finer and you will not notice its texture in the final result). You can also add a tablespoon of coconut oil or butter to provide more softness, but it is optional.
Greetings 😉
