
Buffalo cauliflower wings

Well, it's very simple, it's a psychological thing, there are special situations, a weekend night, a sporting event, a celebration with friends or family, the upcoming parties.
These are moments to enjoy with an informal meal, sharing and leaving the routine.
Cauliflower "buffalo wings" is an ideal dish to share on special days.
This recipe is perfect for those occasions, it is very sweet, appetizing and spicy. Cauliflower is very easy to digest and does not add calories, the batter is light and tasty and the homemade barbecue sauce.
I assure you that you will love it, it is a vegan recipe suitable for everyone, it does not carry sugar of any kind, and best of all, it does not need it.
The cauliflower flowers are crispy and satiate very much, the batter has an intense flavor, it has several spices, as well as mustard and apple cider vinegar, as a binder I have put oatmeal and ground almonds.
Classic wings are made with wheat or corn flour, but I tend to avoid them, for a paleo version of this buffalo wings cauliflower, use tapioca starch.
To get a liquid texture that allows you to batter cauliflower flowers, you can add a vegetable, almond, soy, oatmeal milk, the one you like best. (For a paleo version it should be a nut, almond, hazelnut, nut, etc. drink)
The cauliflower "buffalo wings style" is the tastiest way I know to eat it, sure you'll like it.
In addition to this tasty batter, you have to brush the cauliflower flowers with the homemade barbecue sauce before baking them.
The cauliflower is cooked for about 20 minutes at 180 degrees, and the result is incredible, it is best to stay a little al dente, not soft, that way you will enjoy more, and it will give you the feeling of eating more.

BUFFALO CAULIFLOWER WINGS
Ingredients
- 600 grams cauliflower
- 2 tbsp oatmeal
- 2 tbsp Almond flour
- 6 tbsp vegetable drink (almond, oatmeal, soy, etc)
- 1/4 teaspoonful garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoonful onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoonful cayenne pepper
- 1 pinch sea salt
- 1 pinch freshly ground pepper
- 4 tbsp homemade barbecue sauce
- parsley or chive leaves to decorate
Instructions
- Mix all the ingredients in a bowl except ground almonds and barbecue sauce. Let stand in the fridge.
- While washing the cauliflower and separating the flowers, remove the thick stems.
- Batter the flowers with the mixture.
- Sprinkle the flowers already battered with the ground almonds.
- The next step is to brush the flowers with the homemade barbecue sauce, (I recommend that you do it following my recipe, it is much healthier than the commercial one, and does not carry sugar).
- Bake the cauliflower flowers already spiced at 180 ° C for 20 minutes.
- Serve with chopped parsley, chives and accompany with the sauce that you like, although it will not be necessary, it is the tastiest cauliflower you have ever tasted.
Notes
- This recipe is spicy, if you do not tolerate it or do not like it, use sweet paprika and avoid pepper.
